Welcome to the SCRAP home page

SCRAP (Systems of Computing in Radiotherapy And treatment Planning) is a slightly ad hoc users group meeting which provides a forum for the discussion of developments and problems associated with computer planning systems, and allied equipment, used in radiotherapy departments within the UK.

Approximately once a year a one day meeting is held which takes the following format:

  • In the morning there may be up to 4 presentations on a particular theme.
  • After lunch the delegates take part in a "roundtable" discusion where the developments and problems can be aired.
  • During the day some invited manufacturers display their latest systems.
It has been a long tradition that costs are kept to a minimum and registration is still only £10.
The present "staff" at SCRAP are:
  • Chairman: David Dommett at the Royal Marsden in Fulham Road
  • Secretary: Phil Tapper at The Harley Street Clinic
